KPC Launches Sustainability Report Towards a Sustainable Future

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries launched their Sustainability Report for 2023–2025 during a special event sponsored by KPC’s Chief Executive Officer, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Saud Al-Sabah, and attended by senior figures from the oil and banking sectors, representatives of financial and investment institutions, and various stakeholders. In a press statement, the corporation said the event aimed to showcase the key results and achievements of KPC and its subsidiaries in the field of sustainability, and to enhance dialogue and communication with financial and investment institutions regarding their strategic directions and performance in this area, in line with its commitment to reinforcing transparency and effective engagement with stakeholders. It added that the report outlines the performance of KPC and its subsidiaries and their efforts in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas, along with several related topics, in accordance with the report preparation methodology and relevant standards. The corporation clarified that the event highlighted the role of the Kuwaiti oil sector in balancing the requirements of economic growth with environmental and social responsibility, as well as KPC’s future vision for embedding sustainability principles across its operational activities and strategic decisions, thereby contributing to enhancing the resilience and competitiveness of its operations and creating sustainable value for Kuwait in the long term. On this occasion, Badr Ibrahim Al-Attar, Managing Director of Planning and Finance at KPC, stated that the 2023–2025 Sustainability Report represents an important milestone in the corporation’s journey toward establishing sustainability as a fundamental element of its operations and long-term strategy. He added that the report reflects KPC’s commitment to transparency and strengthening communication with financial and investment institutions and stakeholders, through disclosing its performance and achievements in environmental, social, and governance aspects, emphasizing that sustainability is a key pillar for supporting growth and creating sustainable value for Kuwait and future generations. The event also included an exhibition in which KPC and its subsidiaries participated, showcasing their key initiatives, projects, and success stories in the field of sustainability, demonstrating the contributions of the Kuwaiti oil sector to supporting sustainable development and its readiness to keep pace with future changes and challenges.
