Al-Hawaila: Developing the Social Care and Protection System

The Committee of Ministers for Social Affairs and Development of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is examining, during its twelfth meeting, ways to enhance joint GCC cooperation and coordination in social fields, as well as to exchange expertise and experiences, thereby contributing to the development of the social care and protection system and serving various segments of society. Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili, is participating in the meeting, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, reflecting Kuwait’s commitment to supporting the trajectory of GCC social work and strengthening cooperation and coordination among the Council’s member states. Upon her arrival at Bahrain International Airport, Dr. Al-Huwaili was received by Bahrain’s Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Saleh Al-Alawi, to take part in the meeting’s proceedings and discuss a number of topics and issues related to social and developmental work.
