Aden – Agencies: Yemeni forces have intensified their military operations as part of the “Yemen Dawn” campaign across several fronts, coinciding with new advances in Taiz governorate, continued operations in Marib and the western coast, and airstrikes targeting Houthi military capabilities in Sanaa, Saada, and Hodeidah. The Yemeni Air Force launched a series of raids yesterday dawn, targeting weapons depots, military vehicles, and troop carriers belonging to the Houthi militia in northern Marib governorate and western Al-Jawf governorate. Al-Arabiya channel quoted field sources as saying that the Yemeni Armed Forces’ air force struck five ballistic missile depots, a launch base, and camouflaged weapons caches in the Mas camp and its surroundings on the northern outskirts of Marib governorate. The sources also confirmed that airstrikes targeted military vehicles and a troop carrier heading from the capital, Sanaa, to reinforce Houthi fronts in Al-Jawf. Other raids hit Houthi trenches and concentrations at Al-Khasf and Al-Aqsha sites in the desert between Marib and Al-Jawf governorates. Fierce battles are ongoing between the Yemeni Armed Forces and the Houthi militia in the Wazie’a district, southwest of Taiz, alongside government forces’ advances and their control over several commanding heights. Clashes were concentrated in the areas of Al-Mansoura, Al-Sharira, and around Numan Mountain, following the capture of Al-Kafir mountains and strategic heights overlooking positions where Houthi militia forces are stationed, while drone strikes targeted a militia site in Wazie’a. These developments coincided with the Houthi militia deploying significant military reinforcements to the southern and western fronts of Taiz. For its part, the Yemeni Ministry of Transport announced that Aden International Airport was attacked yesterday dawn by two ballistic missiles and drones launched by the Houthi militia, targeting the airport runway and passenger terminal. The ministry stated that one of the missiles fell near the runway just minutes before the landing of a Yemenia Airways flight arriving from Cairo, prompting authorities to cancel its landing and divert it to Jeddah. It added that the airport was simultaneously hosting passengers and staff preparing for a flight to Jeddah scheduled for 3 a.m., along with two aircraft belonging to Yemenia Airways and Aden Airways on the tarmac. According to the statement, authorities evacuated the two aircraft from the danger zone and cleared the airport building of staff and passengers, as several drones were spotted in Aden’s airspace.
