Petrofund and 'Investment Promotion' Organized International Business Partners Forum

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the Direct Investment Promotion Authority (DIPA) co-hosted the International Business Partners Forum under the theme “Direct Procurement and Sustainable Supply for the Kuwaiti Oil Sector” at the Jaber Al-Ali Auditorium within the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, with participation from a number of local and international companies and entities involved in the oil sector. The forum was organized as part of KPC’s efforts to enhance direct and transparent communication with business partners and investors, to introduce the regulatory requirements and registration, qualification, and engagement mechanisms with KPC and its subsidiaries, and to showcase available investment opportunities in Kuwait and the oil sector.
In a statement, KPC emphasized that the forum reflects the corporation’s commitment to enhancing transparency and streamlining direct contracting procedures with local and international suppliers, in light of recent amendments to the law establishing KPC under Law No. (67) of 2026. It clarified that these amendments aim to broaden the competitive base and provide opportunities for all qualified suppliers from around the world to participate on a fair and transparent basis, ensuring that the Kuwaiti oil sector obtains the best materials, products, and services in accordance with the highest global standards.
The statement added that KPC operates within a supportive legislative and regulatory environment for investment, and welcomes the participation of the private sector and foreign investors whose capabilities and expertise align with the needs of the oil sector.
For its part, DIPA continues its efforts to enhance Kuwait’s position as an attractive investment destination by facilitating market entry for investors and supporting the establishment of their businesses through the integrated Investor Services Center (“One-Stop Shop”). The Authority also provides support throughout all stages of the investment journey, including post-investment services, thereby enhancing the sustainability and growth of projects and their contribution to national economic development.
The forum featured presentations on the direct procurement and supply system in the oil sector, qualification and registration requirements, and available opportunities for direct investment and cooperation with oil sector companies, reflecting Kuwait’s direction toward strengthening strategic partnerships that support economic development and align with the aspirations of the Kuwaiti oil sector.
