Kuwait, represented by the Public Authority for Industry, participated in the “Made in the Gulf” Forum and Exhibition hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the participation of several ministers, officials, and representatives of government bodies and the industrial sector from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The Kuwaiti delegation was led by Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, alongside the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Industry, Shamlan Al-Jahdali, along with several authority officials and representatives of the Kuwaiti industrial sector.

In a statement, the Public Authority for Industry said that Kuwait’s participation in the forum underscores its commitment to supporting the trajectory of GCC industrial integration, enhancing cooperation, and exchanging expertise and experiences among GCC member states. It also aims to showcase investment opportunities and national industrial capacities, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of Gulf industry and supporting the national product. The Public Authority for Industry is participating in the accompanying exhibition through the Kuwaiti pavilion, with 14 Kuwaiti factories representing various industrial sectors and activities. The pavilion highlights a range of national products and Kuwaiti industries, emphasizing the quality, diversity, and competitiveness of Kuwaiti industrial products in Gulf and regional markets.

The exhibition witnessed official attendance, with the Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister, representing the Bahraini King, touring the exhibition pavilions and reviewing the national products and industries presented by participating countries. Additionally, the Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry toured the Kuwaiti pavilion, accompanied by the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Industry and Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jasem Al-Najim. They reviewed the participation of Kuwaiti factories and the displayed national products, and listened to explanations regarding the quality, diversity, and competitiveness of the participating products and industries in Gulf markets.

Kuwait’s participation provides an important platform for national factories to promote their products and engage in direct dialogue with investors, specialists, and private sector representatives, while exploring opportunities for cooperation and commercial and industrial partnerships, thereby enhancing the presence of the Kuwaiti product within the “Made in the Gulf” framework.

The Public Authority for Industry affirmed that its participation in the forum and the accompanying exhibition aligns with its ongoing efforts to support the national industry, empower the Kuwaiti product, open new horizons for the industrial sector, and enhance cooperation and partnership opportunities between the Kuwaiti industrial sector and its counterparts in GCC countries. This aligns with Kuwait’s strategic direction toward economic diversification and strengthening the role of industry in achieving sustainable development and GCC economic integration.
