Boubyan Bank has received the 2026 “Gold Standard” certification from the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA), in recognition of its ongoing commitment to applying high standards in investor relations, and enhancing transparency and effective communication with investors. MEIRA launched the “Gold Standard” certification for the first time in 2026 to honor excellence in investor relations practices and effective communication between listed companies and investors. The certification provides an independent assessment of the investor relations programs of participating companies, as part of a new initiative by the association aimed at highlighting outstanding practices in this field and encouraging their adoption across the region.

Boubyan Bank’s receipt of this certification stems from its continuous focus on developing investor relations management and reinforcing an approach based on transparency, continuity, and constructive communication with shareholders, investors, and analysts. The bank views investor relations as a two-way communication channel that, on one hand, provides clear, timely, and relevant information regarding the bank’s performance, strategy, and priorities, and on the other hand, listens to the views of the investor community and understands their information needs.

The bank supports this approach through its dedicated investor relations website, which offers advanced tools enabling shareholders, investors, and analysts to easily access financial results, investor presentations, annual reports, regulatory disclosures, and other key information. Additionally, last year the bank launched a dedicated mobile application for investor relations, along with a range of other digital resources, contributing to enhanced access to timely and relevant information and supporting effective communication with the investor community.

Commenting on this achievement, Khalid Al-Zaman, Chief Financial Officer at Boubyan Bank, said: “The ‘Gold Standard’ certification from MEIRA represents significant recognition of the progress we have made in continuing to develop investor relations practices at Boubyan Bank. We believe that effective investor relations are built on transparency, continuity, and genuine communication. This honor reinforces our commitment to providing our shareholders, investors, and analysts with clear, relevant, and timely information, while ensuring that their views and feedback remain an integral part of our ongoing dialogue with the market.”

He added: “This certification holds particular importance as it is the first edition of the ‘Gold Standard’ issued by MEIRA, reflecting the significance we attach to the quality of our disclosures and communications, and underscoring our ongoing commitment to developing the investor relations function in line with the evolving needs of the investment community.”

For his part, Hamad Al-Bader, Senior Manager – Strategic Solutions, Sustainability, and Investor Relations at Boubyan Bank, stated: “Investor relations play a crucial role in linking Boubyan Bank’s financial performance and strategic priorities with the investor community’s information needs. The ‘Gold Standard’ certification from MEIRA highlights the importance of maintaining a disciplined, transparent, and consistent approach in managing this dialogue, and reflects the joint efforts undertaken by various departments within the bank to ensure our financial and corporate information is communicated clearly and effectively.”

Al-Bader added: “We view investor relations as a two-way communication channel. In addition to our responsibility to communicate transparently about Boubyan Bank’s performance, strategy, and future outlook, it is equally important to understand the perspectives of investors and analysts, as well as broader developments in the market environment. The insights we gain through this communication help us continue to refine our communication style and strengthen our relationship with the market.”

Boubyan Bank continues to commit to developing investor relations practices and maintaining high levels of transparency, disclosure, and communication. As the expectations of the investment community continue to evolve, the bank will further enhance its communication channels and provide clear, accessible, and relevant information to shareholders, investors, and analysts, thereby supporting a constructive and informed dialogue with the market.
