Japan Pledges to Establish Stable Relations with China
Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said that Japan considers China an “important neighbor,” pledging to maintain a stable relationship with Beijing despite existing tensions between the two countries. This statement was made during her address to parliament on foreign policy, in which Takaichi emphasized that “China is an important neighbor despite the difficulties, and we have built a long-standing relationship over the years.” She added that Tokyo would work to “ensure communication on shared challenges, encourage dialogue to safeguard our national interests, and foster a constructive and stable relationship.”
