The 2026 edition of the “Academy X” program offered two specialized tracks in tech entrepreneurship and AI-driven marketing, alongside a hands-on educational experience that enabled participants to develop their skills in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and to transform ideas into practical projects and solutions.
Commenting on the occasion, Hessa Hussein Al-Najjada, Senior Director – Media Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Burgan Bank, said: “Our strategic sponsorship of the ‘Academy X’ program for the second consecutive year stems from Burgan Bank’s belief in the importance of corporate social responsibility and our role in investing in young talents and supporting women’s empowerment. Over the two years of sponsorship, more than 1,000 female students have graduated from the program, acquiring skills in entrepreneurship and programming, as well as banking culture, in line with the ‘Let’s Be Aware’ campaign launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait in collaboration with the Banks Association and local banks. Through these initiatives, we strive to achieve a sustainable impact consistent with Burgan Bank’s strategy and the goals and vision of Kuwait 2035. We believe that these young talents represent the future generation, and that their ambition, ideas, and capabilities can contribute to building a prosperous future for Kuwait.”
For her part, Fatima Ahmed, Senior Director – Corporate Culture and Employee Relations at Burgan Bank, stated: “The students’ commitment and determination to complete the program are among the key factors contributing to the success of this experience. It provided them with the opportunity to develop their skills and apply what they learned through a practical experience that helps prepare them for the job market and enhances their readiness for future opportunities. We extend our gratitude to all the students for their efforts and dedication, and to their parents for supporting and encouraging their daughters, which played a significant role in enabling them to benefit from this educational experience.”
In his turn, Hashim Bahbahani, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of CODED Academy, said: “Our partnership with Burgan Bank is at the top of our priorities, and we are celebrating this partnership for the second consecutive year within the ‘Academy X’ program. The program places technology and artificial intelligence in the hands of Kuwaiti girls as tools for innovation and entrepreneurship. Hence, our shared commitment is to translate this belief into real tech projects and national talents ready for the job market.”
