Al-Mushaan Opens Integrated Services Center for People with Disabilities at the Ministry of Public Works

Public Works Minister Dr. Noura Al-Mushaan inaugurated the Integrated Services Center for Persons with Disabilities at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of Acting Undersecretary of Public Works Kifaya Al-Najdi and several ministry officials. The inauguration is part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance its services and facilitate the processing of transactions for clients and employees with disabilities. The center aims to provide comprehensive services that meet the needs of persons with motor, hearing, and visual disabilities, through assistive devices and technologies that streamline procedures and create a service environment tailored to beneficiaries’ needs. The center features a real-time sign language interpretation device to facilitate communication with deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, a text magnification and assistance device for people with low vision and color blindness, as well as a real-time reading device for the blind and a Braille printer to help them read documents and complete their transactions. The opening of the center aligns with the Ministry of Public Works’ efforts to elevate the quality of services provided to persons with disabilities, enhance accessibility, and develop a service environment that accommodates their needs and enables efficient and hassle-free processing of their transactions.
