Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila issued a ministerial decision extending the tenure of the current board of directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society for one year, renewable, under the chairmanship of Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughams, with Dr. Nasser Al-Tanakk, Yousef Al-Zubain, Saud Al-Makhzoum, Saud Al-Dabbous, and Dr. Latifa Al-Meer as members. The decision stipulated that the interim board would exercise the powers and authorities of the board of directors as outlined in Law No. (24/1962) concerning clubs and public benefit associations, and the society’s statutes. It also tasked the board with verifying the existence of any violations and taking necessary measures to safeguard the society’s funds.
