He stressed the continued monitoring of the students’ health, following up on their condition, and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure they receive the necessary care.
Al-Tabatabaai ordered the suspension of the school’s administration for three months pending the investigation, and tasked a new school administration with taking over responsibility for the school and overseeing its operations, to ensure a stable school environment and the continuity of the educational process.
The Ministry of Education stated in a press release that this decision followed preliminary investigations that confirmed the involvement of several female students in the incident. Educational and regulatory measures prescribed against them were taken, in accordance with the Comprehensive Regulatory Bylaws for Education at the Ministry of Education, after the documented behaviors were classified as serious behavioral violations.
The ministry affirmed that the investigation into the incident is ongoing to identify all causes and circumstances, and to determine responsibilities accurately. It stressed that necessary measures will be taken against anyone whose responsibility or negligence is proven, in line with applicable systems and regulations, and based on the findings of the final investigation results.
The ministry emphasized that these measures are implemented to safeguard the security and safety of students and to maintain a stable school environment, as well as to reinforce principles of discipline and accountability. It reiterated that there will be no leniency toward any behavior that undermines the security of the school community or the safety of its members.
