Brigadier General Ibrahim Al-Baghlai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ibrahim Taher Al-Baghlai Foundation for the Filial Son, announced the results of the winning students in the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award competitions for the 2025/2026 academic year. The events were organized under the patronage of the Minister of Education, in coordination with the Educational Development and Activities Sector of the Ministry of Education, the Kuwait Scout Association, and the Kuwait Guide Association.
Al-Baghlai revealed the names of the 94 winning students (male and female) out of 7,359 participants in the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award competitions for Ministry of Education students for the 2025/2026 academic year, marking the fourteenth consecutive year. The Chairman of the Foundation’s Board expressed his pleasure at meeting his student sons and daughters for the fourteenth consecutive year through his patronage of the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award competitions, emphasizing his belief in the importance of translating the Minister of Education’s directions and aspirations into action to activate the Ministry’s role in enhancing and fostering the virtue of filial piety within the student community.
Al-Baghlai clarified that the Foundation’s organization of the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award competitions for Ministry of Education students in its fourteenth edition confirms its role and contribution to enhancing and affirming the Ministry of Education’s policy and philosophy, and supporting the measures taken by the Minister of Education to implement the strategic plan related to educational programs and activities aimed at students, thereby benefiting them generally and contributing to achieving the objectives of educational pathways in this regard. It also aims at shaping balanced personalities through diverse activities and programs, including contributing to creating a suitable educational environment to help learners avoid academic burden and psychological pressure.
Al-Baghlai affirmed that the Foundation’s approach in implementing the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award project for Ministry of Education students aligns with the Ministry of Education’s philosophy regarding the entrenchment of fundamental values, objectives, and directions embraced by the student community, stemming from its creed, heritage, and the social and political system it has adopted, as expressed in its basic charters. It is worth noting here the provisions related to education in the Constitution of the State of Kuwait, which stipulates that the care of the youth is the responsibility of the State; education is a fundamental pillar for the progress of all, undertaken and patronized by the State; and education is a right for Kuwaitis and a duty upon them in its initial stages.
Believing in the importance of translating the Minister of Education’s directions and aspirations to activate the Ministry’s role in enhancing and fostering the virtue of filial piety within the student community, the Foundation’s Board of Directors has been keen to continue strengthening community partnership programs with the Ministry of Education and working to organize various events under the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award project for 2025. Accordingly, the Short Story Competition and the Volunteer Work Competition for middle and secondary school students were organized in coordination with the Educational Development and Activities Sector, the General Directorate of Arabic Language Technical Guidance, the School Activities Administration, and the General Directorate of Scout Education Technical Guidance at the Ministry of Education for the 2025/2026 academic year. The goal is to entrench noble Islamic morals and the values of fathers and ancestors among students, develop a spirit of cooperation and positive attitudes and behaviors, and spread the culture of volunteering and motivate students.
Al-Baghlai concluded his remarks by extending his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Education, Engineer Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, for his noble and generous patronage of the Filial Son Award competitions for Ministry of Education students for the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as to the Undersecretary of the Ministry, the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, the Director of the School Activities Administration, and all employees across various titles and functional levels in all educational areas. He also thanked Mrs. Hind Al-Hawalli, Dr. Abdullah Al-Tariqi, all teachers and educators for their dedication in organizing the competitions, and thanked all student participants and their parents for their interaction and participation in all implemented events and activities, congratulating them on their wins of various awards. He also thanked all media outlets and devices that participated in implementing the award’s programs and events. Furthermore, he thanked the Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Award and all heads and members of the working teams emanating from the committee for executing the award’s events.
On another note, Ali Hassan, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Award, extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Brigadier General Ibrahim Al-Baghlai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ibrahim Taher Al-Baghlai Foundation for the Filial Son, for his distinguished efforts in encouraging charitable and voluntary work in Kuwaiti society in general and among the student community in particular. He affirmed that the outstanding participation of students in the competitions and events implemented by the Foundation confirms that the approach adopted by the Foundation over the past fourteen academic years is proceeding in the right direction and on the correct path regarding enhancing the role of the student community in spreading the virtue of filial piety in society, and enhancing and encouraging voluntary, charitable, and humanitarian work among students.
Hassan stated that the Supreme Committee has completed receiving the results of the participating works in the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award competitions for Ministry of Education students for the 2025/2026 academic year. The Supreme Committee and its affiliated working teams at the Ministry of Education sorted the completed works, studied and evaluated them according to quality and excellence standards, and assessed certain aspects related to the evaluation and realism of the data provided by participants, which is an important stage in the evaluation and judging process. Based on this, the names and ranks of winning and participating students and schools from the student community in each competition were selected and determined. The Committee finalized the determination of the names and ranks of winners among students and schools in the various competitions, which were then approved by the Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Brigadier General Ibrahim Al-Baghlai, patron of the Al-Baghlai Filial Son Award.
Hassan said that the Ibrahim Taher Al-Baghlai Foundation organized the Short Story Competition and the Volunteer Work Competition for middle and secondary school students in coordination with the Educational Development and Activities Sector, the General Directorate of Arabic Language Technical Guidance, the School Activities Administration, the General Directorate of Scout Education Technical Guidance at the Ministry of Education, the Kuwait Scout Association, and the Kuwait Guide Association for the 2025/2026 academic year, for the fourteenth consecutive year.
