State Minister for Economic Affairs and Investment and Acting Minister of Trade, Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, issued a decision stipulating the resumption of payments of suspended allowances to eligible beneficiaries for insured persons or pensioners whose Kuwaiti citizenship had been revoked and who have since passed away, with retroactive effect from the date payments were halted, provided that the deceased’s name was included in the lists prepared by the Supreme Committee for Kuwaiti Nationality Verification. The decision specified that its provisions do not apply to marriage grants for daughters, sisters, or nieces who are entitled to allowances when payments were suspended for marriage purposes, nor do they apply to allowances that have already been reinstated.
