Issuance of 6 Decrees Stripping Citizenship from 415 Individuals

Yesterday, six decrees were published in the official gazette, “Kuwait Today,” revoking the citizenship of 415 individuals. The first decree stipulated the revocation of citizenship certificates for six persons and those who acquired citizenship through their dependency, in accordance with Article 21 bis (a) of Amirial Decree No. 15 of 1959 and its amended laws. The second decree provided for the revocation of citizenship from 286 persons and those who acquired it through their dependency. The third decree stipulated the revocation of citizenship from 14 persons. The fourth decree provided for the revocation of citizenship from 25 persons and those who acquired it through their dependency. The fifth decree stipulated the revocation of citizenship from 41 persons and those who acquired it through their dependency. The sixth decree provided for the revocation of citizenship from 43 persons and those who acquired it through their dependency.
