The Governor of Al-Jahra, Hamad Al-Habashi, the Acting Deputy Minister of Public Works, Kifaya Al-Najdi, and the General Manager, Eng. Khaled Al-Otaibi, inaugurated the first phase of the development project for Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Road (formerly known as Al-Abdali Road). The Ministry of Public Works stated that the road is one of the vital arteries connecting Al-Jahra Governorate with the northern regions, serving traffic flow to the Al-Abdali area, farms, and border crossings, as well as playing a key role in land travel and freight transport, thereby giving its development significant service and economic importance. The development works aim to enhance the road’s efficiency, improve traffic fluidity, and strengthen safety for its users, while also facilitating access to the areas it serves, keeping pace with urban expansion needs, and accommodating the growing volume of vehicles. The inauguration of the first phase is the result of coordinated efforts by the Ministry of Public Works and relevant authorities, under the continuous follow-up of the Al-Jahra Governorate Council, within the framework of joint coordination to advance road and infrastructure projects and improve the level of services provided to residents and road users.
