Al-Amr Discusses Cooperation with South Korean Ambassador

State Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Media and Culture Omar Al-Omar held talks with Kim Jang-hyun, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kuwait, on a number of issues of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries. In a press statement issued by the Ministry of Media following his meeting with Ambassador Kim, Minister Al-Omar emphasized the importance of South Korea’s advanced experience in technology and digital transformation, stressing the need to leverage Korean expertise and exchange knowledge in this field. For his part, Ambassador Kim praised Kuwait’s progress in digital government services, commending the “Hawiyati” and “Sahl” applications for their user-friendly design and facilitation of government transactions, including the electronic signature service. The statement noted that the meeting aligns with Kuwait’s and the Republic of Korea’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, exchanging expertise and experiences, expanding areas of cooperation, and opening new horizons for partnership between the two countries.
