"The Blue Airplanes" defeat the Army

The national volleyball team defeated the Egyptian Army 3-0 (29-27, 25-22, 25-23) in their third friendly match during their current training camp in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, as part of the team’s preparatory program for the Arab Nations Championship, scheduled to take place in the Jordanian capital, Amman, from October 5 to 15.

“Al-Zuraq Al-Tair” (the Blue Flyers) began their friendly matches at the camp against the Egyptian Army, followed by matches against Mokawloon Al-Arab and Petrojet. The technical staff used these games to assess the players’ readiness and implement various technical and tactical drills.

“Al-Zuraq Al-Tair” will conclude their friendly matches in Cairo tomorrow against Petrojet once again, before departing for Jordan on October 4. The national team continues its preparations in Cairo, with the technical staff aiming to bring the squad to the highest levels of technical and physical readiness before the start of official competitions.

Under the leadership of Argentine coach Julian Alvarez and his national assistant Zaid Al-Kazimi, the technical staff is working to enhance readiness levels during the camp, while applying the tactical and technical aspects that will be relied upon in the Arab Championship. They are also striving to achieve maximum cohesion between experienced players and young talents, thereby strengthening the national team’s ability to deliver an impressive performance in the upcoming tournament.
