American billionaire Elon Musk painted an optimistic picture of the future of artificial intelligence, predicting that robots and superintelligence would lead to economic abundance and a broad improvement in living standards. He added, following a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump that included several technology and AI company executives on Tuesday, that this development could enable high incomes for everyone, alongside better and more accessible healthcare worldwide. Musk said, “I believe the most likely scenario, by a wide margin, is reaching a state of abundance where we not only have a universal basic income, but a high universal income for all.”
