The technical committee of the Municipal Council approved the Ministry of Public Works’ request to create an entrance and exit for the site of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in the Sulaiybiyat area, south of Sulaiybiyat, plot number 1. During its meeting yesterday, chaired by Eng. Munira Al-Amir, the committee also approved the reorganization of part of plot number 1 within the Diplomatic Quarter. Additionally, it approved a proposal submitted by member Eng. Abdul Latif Al-Duaiji to allow licensing certain commercial activities in government buildings and hospitals.
On another note, the Municipality announced that the Safety Management Department in Farwaniya Governorate is continuing its awareness campaign, “Maintain and Do Not Damage,” aimed at raising awareness of the importance of complying with the requirements and regulations governing construction, demolition, and restoration works, and emphasizing the need for proper handling of construction debris and waste. The campaign has resulted in the issuance of eight safety warnings.
The Municipality clarified that the campaign focuses on educating property owners and contractors about the necessity of transporting construction debris and waste to designated sites, and refraining from leaving them in courtyards, roads, or public areas, as doing so spoils the public appearance and obstructs movement.
It is worth noting that the campaign is part of the Kuwait Municipality’s efforts to strengthen supervision, curb violations, and consolidate a culture of preserving the environment and public property.
