Bloomberg reported that Qatar has extended the force majeure measures on liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports to Asia and Europe for an additional month, amid ongoing disruptions hindering energy flows through the vital Strait of Hormuz. QatarEnergy, the state-owned company, informed customers in Pakistan and Bangladesh this week that LNG shipments would remain canceled until November, according to the agency’s sources familiar with the matter. At least one Indian buyer also received a similar notice, while Italy’s Edison announced it would continue to suspend its allocated supplies until early December.
