Al-Hawila: Implementing Regulations and Reinforcing Principles of Justice in All Procedures
Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, has decided to form a specialized and urgent investigative committee to examine complaints and observations related to the examination of candidates for supervisory positions in cooperative societies, paving the way for an appropriate decision based on the committee’s findings and recommendations. This comes following a meeting between Al-Huwail and officials from the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) to discuss complaints and observations linked to the exam and to review the relevant technical and administrative procedures. The minister tasked the committee with holding an urgent meeting, completing its work, and verifying all details, facts, and procedures related to the exam, with the expectation that it will submit its results and recommendations to facilitate an appropriate decision. Al-Huwail emphasized that any decision regarding the exam will be based on the investigation’s findings and established facts, ensuring procedural integrity and safeguarding the rights of all parties. She stressed the importance of adhering to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, impartiality, and equal opportunity, affirming the commitment of both the ministry and GUST to applying regulations and reinforcing principles of justice in all procedures. Al-Huwail further noted that the file of Kuwaitizing jobs in the cooperative sector receives the ministry’s attention, particularly supervisory roles, highlighting efforts to provide suitable employment opportunities for national cadres based on objective criteria and fair standards that ensure the selection of qualified personnel and enhance the presence of Kuwaiti nationals across various cooperative work settings. Relevant authorities are awaiting the investigative committee’s results, which will serve as the basis for the anticipated decision on the exam, depending on the facts and procedures under review.
