Kane: We performed at our best

England captain Harry Kened praised his team’s performance despite their 3-2 defeat to Spain yesterday. Kened said the Three Lions delivered some of their best displays in a long time. Speaking to ITV, he added, “We showed good levels at the World Cup, but we couldn’t put together a complete 90-minute performance. That may have happened again today.” He continued, “We had many good moments, and I believe that period (around the end of the first half and the start of the second) was among the best stretches we’ve played in a very long time, and that’s the level we know we’re capable of reaching.”
