De La Fuente: The statistics speak for themselves

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente expressed his delight after his team’s 3-2 victory over England in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night. The Spanish manager said that Spain remains capable of further development, even as their unbeaten run extended to 39 matches. Commenting on the win, he said, “What this generation of players is achieving deserves great praise. They are constantly striving to develop and improve. The statistics speak for themselves.” He added, “What Spain is doing is extremely difficult. We will approach the next match against Croatia as if it were our last. These players always want to continue developing.” De la Fuente also praised the performance of his young star Lamine Yamal, saying, “His performance was exceptional, and we are lucky to have him with us.”
