"Competitions": Distinctive organization on the opening day

The Gulf Football Association’s Match Committee reviewed several issues related to the opening day of the “Khaleeji Al-Diyar Al-Arabiya 27” tournament during its second meeting in Jeddah, chaired by Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz. Khalid bin Abdulaziz stated that the second meeting examined the match observers’ reports for the opening day, which featured the first match between Iraq and Oman and the second match between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, along with several organizational aspects related to the conduct of the competitions. He noted that the matches were organized in a distinguished manner across all aspects. He praised the organizational efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the local organizing committee, as well as the exceptional atmosphere that accompanied the tournament’s launch and the opening ceremony, which coincided with Saudi National Day. The Match Committee reviewed the arrangements for the training schedules of the participating national teams and the approved times for using the designated training pitches, ensuring that the teams’ technical programs are organized according to the tournament’s set schedules. The tournament’s operational plan indicates that national team training sessions will be held at various training venues within King Abdullah Sports City, in accordance with the schedules and pitches allocated to each team. The Match Committee had previously approved the appointments of match observers from the start of the tournament through to the semi-finals, as part of its responsibilities for monitoring the conduct of the competitions and ensuring the application of the approved regulations and organizational procedures. The committee also approved a daily monitoring mechanism throughout the tournament, involving morning meetings to review match reports, discuss organizational and operational observations related to the competitions, and take necessary actions in accordance with the approved regulations.
