Kuwait National Bank promotes "Let's Be Aware" campaign in radio interview

Ali Bouhamad, Head of the Complaints and Customer Protection Unit at National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), appeared as a guest on the “Diwaniyat Al-Yaqout and Al-Ansari” program on 360 FM to discuss the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign. This participation underscores the bank’s ongoing support for the initiative and its continuous contribution to achieving financial inclusion and raising awareness across all segments of Kuwaiti society.

During the interview, the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign was introduced, highlighting its role in protecting customers within the banking sector and informing them of their rights and obligations when dealing with banks. The discussion also covered key updates to the revised Customer Protection Guide, including the requirement to notify customers three months before the automatic annual renewal of products, disclose any applicable fees, and clarify the cancellation process.

The interview further noted that NBK has reduced the response time for customer complaints to just five working days. Additionally, all branches have been equipped with ramps to facilitate access and service for persons with disabilities. The conversation also highlighted several other key areas covered in the updated guide, which is fully aligned with the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign.

Customers were advised to remain vigilant against fraud and the evolving tactics of scammers and cybercriminals. They were urged not to click on unverified links and to carefully read messages containing One-Time Passwords (OTPs) without automatically entering them. This step was emphasized as essential for protecting personal data and bank accounts.
