Kuwait and the United Nations discuss cooperation in counter-terrorism

Deputy Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs, Ambassador Sadiq Ma’arifi, held talks with Acting Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Counter-Terrorism, Alexander Zuyev, on the dimensions of cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the United Nations in the field of counter-terrorism and ways to enhance it. This came during a meeting between the two sides on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, where they exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and supporting international efforts aimed at combating terrorism and extremism, as well as enhancing global security and stability.
