"Saudi Arabia is our mother"

This phrase was uttered by the late former Ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God have mercy on his soul. It reflects the sentiments of Kuwait and its rulers toward the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership. The relationship between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been longstanding; no matter how surrounding circumstances change, it remains steadfast and unshakable. The presence of the Kingdom is, for Kuwait, the root and foundation, as it is the cradle of divine revelation, home to the Qibla of Muslims and the Prophet’s Mosque, peace be upon him and his family. There are also social and familial ties between the two peoples, in addition to the strategic and geographical depth that Saudi Arabia represents for Kuwait. No Kuwaiti can forget Saudi Arabia’s stance during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in the 1990s: “If the dignity of Kuwait is lost, the dignity of Saudi Arabia is lost.”

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has faced immense difficulties, ranging from conspiracies and betrayal to persistent threats. Yet, Saudi Arabia has remained, with its pride and honor, a beacon for Islam and a pillar for Muslims, under the motto “Our pride is in our nature.” This year’s Saudi National Day marks the 96th anniversary. Of course, this pride is not a fleeting moment but a defining characteristic of everyone associated with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In conclusion, regardless of political agreements, regional schemes, or the storms that strike neighboring countries, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remains the secure fortress of the entire Islamic and Arab nation.
