Al-Anous is a strategic partner of the "Your School Wish" competition

In line with its commitment to supporting environmental initiatives and enhancing its corporate social responsibility, Al Aneis is participating as a strategic partner in the fourth edition of the “Your School’s Wish” competition for plastic collection and recycling for the 2026/2027 academic year. The competition is organized by the non-profit company “Amani,” under the patronage of the Ministry of Education for the fourth consecutive year, and supervised by the Public Authority for the Environment, with the participation of several government entities and private sector institutions.
Supporting Environmental Initiatives
This partnership stems from Al Aneis’s dedication to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of sustainability and encouraging community members, particularly school students, to adopt environmentally friendly practices. Al Aneis has supported the initiative by providing a dedicated space for the exhibition accompanying the competition in the Grand Plaza area. This will be available throughout the event, which runs from September 17 to 30, 2026, allowing school students to visit the exhibition, learn about the competition’s objectives, and register to participate.
Enhancing Community Participation
Hosting the exhibition at Al Aneis helps reach a broad segment of the community, especially students in public schools, and encourages their active participation in the initiative by collecting plastic waste and delivering it to the participating schools. This fosters a culture of community participation, reinforces the concept of environmental responsibility among students and their families, and contributes to turning sustainable practices into a daily habit.
As a major destination that brings together families, friends, and various segments of society, Al Aneis strives to be an active part of initiatives that address community interests and serve its diverse demographics. It does so by providing a space for communication, interaction, and participation in activities and initiatives with positive impact, drawing on its position as an integrated destination that forms an essential part of the community’s daily life.
Tangible Environmental Results
The competition targets school students across all educational stages, from kindergarten to secondary school. The previous edition saw the participation of 156 schools, which successfully collected 264 tons of plastic over six weeks. This plastic was recycled in cooperation with the relevant authorities, contributing to freeing up 792 cubic meters of landfill capacity and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 660 tons, according to results announced by “Amani.”
Sustainable Commitment
This partnership reflects Al Aneis’s commitment to collaborating with specialized national institutions in the environmental field and supporting initiatives that achieve a positive and lasting impact on society. This contributes to raising environmental awareness among future generations and encouraging the adoption of responsible practices in waste management and recycling, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Vision for Kuwait 2035.
