Foreign Minister Meets His Pakistani Counterpart and Receives UN Under-Secretary-General and Humanitarian Relief Coordinator

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Jaber met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields, as well as discussing the latest developments in regional and international affairs.

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Jaber also received Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, at the Kuwait Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between Kuwait and ESCWA and ways to enhance cooperation in economic, social, and developmental areas of mutual interest.

Additionally, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Jaber met with Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Tom Fletcher, at the Kuwait Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement, the meeting reviewed the close ties between Kuwait and the United Nations, its agencies, and specialized bodies, as well as joint efforts in the humanitarian field and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to support effective responses to regional and international humanitarian crises and challenges.
