Al-Mushaan Participated in the Global Forum on Sustainable Transport in China

Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan participated in the proceedings of the Global Forum on Sustainable Transport 2026, organized by the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing under the theme “Sustainable Transport: Easier Mobility for People and Smoother Flow of Goods.” The forum was attended by Chinese Minister of Transport Liu Wei, ministers and heads of delegations from various countries around the world, and representatives of international organizations, with the aim of enhancing international cooperation in the field of sustainable transport and facilitating the exchange of expertise among nations.

Al-Mashaan delivered Kuwait’s address during the forum’s plenary session, emphasizing that developing modern and sustainable transport infrastructure is a fundamental pillar for achieving the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035. She noted that sustainable transport represents a balance between environmental responsibility, economic viability, accessibility, and operational efficiency. She further explained that Kuwait’s approach focuses on building an integrated transport system that combines connectivity, ease of access, economic efficiency, environmental responsibility, and long-term sustainability.
