Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Joint Production Programmes Organization, stated that the rapid transformations in the media landscape compel Arab institutions to develop their tools and content, and to study the trends and media consumption patterns of new generations, thereby ensuring that authentic Arab culture and identity reach them through modern and engaging methods. Speaking on the occasion of his participation in the 26th edition of the Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia, he emphasized the organization’s commitment to participating in Arab media gatherings and strengthening its presence there, as these events provide a platform for exchanging expertise and insights, and for discussing the future of the content industry and ways to enhance Arab media cooperation. He added, “We are living today in an open and fast-paced world, where platforms are multiplying and audience behaviors are constantly changing, making it essential for us to deepen our understanding of new generations and continuously develop content production tools and presentation methods to ensure Arab content reaches its audience.” He stressed that keeping pace with development does not mean abandoning authenticity, but rather leveraging modern technologies and new storytelling techniques to deliver engaging and compelling Arab content that carries our culture, values, and identity, while simultaneously being competitive, accessible, and influential. He pointed out that the Arab Radio and Television Festival, organized by the Arab Radio and Television Union under the theme “The Pulse of the Image and the Echo of the Future,” constitutes an important platform that brings together Arab media and content creators, enabling discussions on the transformations shaping the industry and its future outlook. He underscored the importance of integrating Arab efforts to produce content capable of addressing the future while preserving its authenticity and identity. On the sidelines of the festival events, Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met with officials and media professionals participating in the festival, and discussed avenues for joint cooperation with them.
