Signing of a Sports Cooperation Memorandum with Japan

Kuwait’s Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, and Junichi Kawai, Commissioner of the Japan Sport Agency, signed a memorandum of cooperation yesterday between the Public Authority for Youth and Sports in Kuwait and the Japan Sport Agency, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging expertise in the sports field.

In a press statement, the Public Authority for Youth and Sports said the memorandum aligns with Kuwait’s commitment to expanding its international sports partnerships and leveraging Japan’s advanced experiences and expertise to contribute to the development of the sports sector, strengthen knowledge and expertise exchange, and support programs and initiatives that benefit athletes and youth.

The Authority added that the memorandum aims to open new avenues for coordination and cooperation between the two sides in areas of mutual sports interest, and to build a sustainable partnership that contributes to strengthening Kuwait-Japan relations and supporting sports development pathways in the State of Kuwait.
