Kuwait hosts the First Asian E-Sports and Mind Sports Games

Kuwait’s Minister of State for Youth and Sports, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, and the President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser, signed an agreement with the President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Sheikh Juma bin Hamad Al Thani, for Kuwait to host the inaugural Asian Esports and Mind Sports Games in 2027. The OCA Executive Board had approved Kuwait’s bid to host the event during its 110th meeting held yesterday.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser, who serves as Vice President of the OCA for the West Asia Region and President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, stated that Kuwait’s hosting of the first edition reflects strong confidence in the country’s capabilities and organizational capacity. He emphasized that the Kuwait Olympic Committee, in cooperation and coordination with the OCA and relevant authorities, will ensure all necessary requirements are met to guarantee the success of the games and present them in the best possible light, befitting Kuwait’s stature and its ability to host and organize major Asian sporting events.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to OCA President Sheikh Juma bin Hamad Al Thani and the members of the Executive Board for approving Kuwait’s hosting of the event, adding that he was proud of the trust placed in the country.
