Eiraula Leads Liverpool Against Former Club

Spanish coach Andoni Iraola will set aside his affection for Bournemouth when he returns to his former club as Liverpool’s manager today, seeking to defeat his old team in the Premier League this weekend. Iraola left Bournemouth to take charge of Liverpool at Anfield during the off-season, following a successful stint with “Cherries.” The 44-year-old manager’s first return to the Vitality Stadium will be an emotional occasion, as he will reunite with players and staff members with whom he built strong relationships during his three years on England’s south coast. However, Iraola is aware that he cannot let emotions interfere with Liverpool’s pursuit of their second league victory of the season.
