Al-Qurein concludes its camp

Al-Qarain Club’s first handball team concluded its external training camp held in Cairo, Egypt, as part of the final phase of its preparation program for the 2026-2027 season, while also preparing to complete the remaining competitions from the previous season. The club’s delegation during the camp was headed by Secretary General Khalifa Al-Shahoumi, and included Handball Sector Head Hamad Muzail, administrator Ali Al-Jabba, and the technical staff led by Algerian coach Rabah Ghribi, along with 20 players, including German professional Spun and Estonian professional Diner.

The camp featured a comprehensive training program, during which the technical staff focused on improving players’ physical fitness and enhancing on-court cohesion, while also implementing several tactical sequences intended for use in upcoming competitions. The team played three friendly matches against Al-Zahra, Heliopolis, and Al-Shams, providing the technical staff with a valuable opportunity to assess player readiness, expose them to different levels of competition, and address certain technical aspects before entering official matches.

For his part, Hamad Muzail, Head of the Handball Sector at Al-Qarain Club, explained that the technical staff made every effort to utilize the friendly matches to test various technical and tactical approaches and give the largest possible number of players an opportunity to play, with the aim of identifying the most ready lineup for the upcoming phase, particularly given the overlap between the remaining obligations of the previous season and the new season’s competitions.
