Talaiyich selects Bahrain squad

Croatian coach Dragan Talajic, manager of defending champions Bahrain, announced his squad for the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup yesterday. Bahrain, winners of the 2019 and 2024 editions, are placed in Group B alongside Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. The national team will open their campaign against Qatar, the Asian champions in the last two editions, on September 24, before facing the UAE in the second round on September 27, and then Yemen on September 30.

The squad includes:

Goalkeepers: Ibrahim Lutfallah, Mohamed Al-Gharably, and Omar Salem.

Defenders: Hamad Shamsan, Vincent Emmanuel, Ameen Ben Aidi, Ahmed Rabia, Walid Al-Hayam, Saeed Mahdi Baqer, and Abdullah Al-Khalasi.

Midfielders: Hassan Al-Karani, Saeed Diaa Saeed, Abbas Al-Asfour, Ali Madan, Omar Saber, Mahdi Hamidan, Ibrahim Al-Khatel, Ali Al-Dosari, Kamel Al-Aswad, Mohamed Abdulqayyum, Jassim Al-Sheikh, and Mohamed Marhun.

Forwards: Hashem Saeed Isa, Mohamed Al-Rumaihi, Mahdi Abduljabbar, and Hussein Abdulkarim.
