Cairo (Agencies): Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stated that everyone must remain vigilant, emphasizing that the events that occurred between 2011 and 2013 have not ended, that the underlying plan has not been abandoned, and that the persistent drive to overthrow the Egyptian state remains. He stressed the necessity for the Egyptian people to be aware and alert, noting that the responsibility in this regard lies with everyone, and pointed out that Egypt’s resources are insufficient to confront protracted challenges.

These remarks were made during the graduation ceremony for the sixth cohort of judicial authorities and bodies from the Egyptian Military Academy, held yesterday at the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Capital.

President al-Sisi noted that Egypt faced extremely dangerous practices and major problems in 2011, but that God Almighty willed for Egypt to survive while other nations did not. He observed that what happened in other countries was orchestrated and premeditated, adding, “This places a heavy responsibility on us, especially since Egypt’s resources do not allow for confronting extended challenges.”

The Egyptian president affirmed that one of the objectives of the courses offered by the Egyptian Military Academy is to fortify youth against the idea of undermining Egypt, similar to what was plotted against Egypt in 2011 and 2012. Al-Sisi indicated that the Egyptian Military Academy serves as a gateway to assuming positions within the Egyptian state, and that while this concept may have initially seemed unusual and unclear, such reactions are natural for any new idea. However, he noted that the expected impact of this initiative will become apparent in the years to come.
