Education Minister Jalal Al-Tabatabaai stressed the necessity of continuing to strengthen joint educational efforts and harmonizing visions among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, in order to contribute to the development of the education system and keep pace with its future aspirations. This statement was made on the sidelines of his participation in the 10th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Education Committee, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain and attended by the education ministers of the GCC member states. He noted that developing education requires enhancing integration among GCC countries across various fields related to the educational process, including strategic transformation in general education, international cooperation, and the development of the work of the Arab Bureau of Education for Gulf Countries, alongside attention to financial literacy, student activities, sports, and awareness-raising programs. The meeting reviewed the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, as well as discussed instilling financial literacy principles among school students in GCC countries and enhancing financial awareness among students from early educational stages.
