Why the "Separation of Articles" program?!
It began with the most famous segment of our weekly program on Al Arabiya channel, “Fasl al-Maqal,” which airs at 6:30 PM every Friday. Together with the distinguished media figure Muhammad Al-Mulla, we have found that one of the most important reasons for these new visits to the contemporary Arab history is the blatant falsification of that history, which prevents us from drawing the correct lessons and insights from it. Infamous defeats have been turned into stunning victories by the liars among history’s forgers, such as Hikmat al-Hikmat, Al-Sahaf, and others. Meanwhile, the genocidal and repressive Arab “revolutionary” regimes of Saddam Hussein, the Assad family, Gaddafi, and others have been transformed into historical heroes whom people are urged to emulate. This extends the destruction of the past into the destruction of the present and the sabotage of the future, unless the lies are corrected and replaced with facts.

The greatest victims of this historical falsification, in addition to the facts themselves, have been the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states as a whole. The media of falsehood and the “revolutionary” deception, from the 1950s to the present day, have portrayed them as unjust, oppressive, conspiratorial, and as collaborators with the colonizer, hosting its military bases. Yet, before Saddam’s invasion of Kuwait in 1990, there were no Western military bases in any Gulf state. In contrast, the Arab “revolutionary” genocidal states were filled with Soviet bases and experts—the greatest colonizer in history—who ruled the Islamic republics and other Eastern European countries with an iron fist and fire. All of these countries liberated themselves from Soviet domination after its collapse and disintegration in the early 1990s. Soviet ambassadors changed regimes in the Arab states they controlled, such as South Yemen, through coups and assassinations, with greater speed and ease than changing their shoes and socks. They had previously crushed, with iron and fire, the popular uprisings in Hungary in 1956 and Czechoslovakia in 1968, simply because those peoples demanded freedom.
In contrast, the Gulf states humiliated the Western powers in 1973 in their support for their Arab brethren by cutting off oil supplies. As a result, the West endured months of a primitive life without oil or electricity. Could the Arab “revolutionary” states and regimes have dealt with their ally and master, the Soviet Union, in the same way?

Final stop:
1. It is said that history is written by the victors. One of the major problems with our contemporary Arab history is that it has been written by the defeated, along with liars, forgers, mercenaries, and generals who retreat.
2. Throughout the history of other nations, and even in our own ancient Arab history, those who were killed, captured, or fled in battle, whose armies were destroyed, and whose peoples were killed and displaced, were considered the defeated. In our case, through falsification, deception, and lies, these figures have been turned into legendary heroes because they did not care about the balance of power, the suffering of peoples, or the total destruction of countries through the destructive invention called “the Victory of Endurance.” This concept was invented by Arab nationalist and Islamist “revolutionary” regimes and later adopted by some neighboring countries. In truth, acknowledging a shameful defeat to correct the course and avoid repeating disgrace and shame is a thousand times better than the falsehood and deception of the so-called “Victory of Endurance.” This is proclaimed by its “heroes” and their false media, like an owl hooting from atop the hills of ruin and the destruction of homelands, draped in the blood of the peoples. Wait a little, and... you will hear of another “Victory of Endurance,” which will be drummed up and marketed as usual by the mercenaries and collaborators, and believed by... the fools!
