Al-Safa and Al-Kadr
To every soul that yearns for the harbors of salvation, and to every mind seeking truth amidst the falsehood of appearances.
I have weathered the vicissitudes of life through long epochs, traversing its meadows and its pits. I found that toil turns the flowing waters into fuel that burns every tree. As for mankind, their nature is base, with hearts of stone and bodies of flesh. They have even falsified faith, so that certainty has become scarce in its fruit.
As for death, it is a clear, undeniable reality, not a mixture of joy and sorrow. The excuses of the disobedient, the blame of fate, and the reproach of destiny are of no avail. The scrolls will be rolled up before the King, and the outcome will be either ruin or triumph, either a hellfire that melts the ribs, or a bliss that delights the eye.
So, direct your spirit toward salvation and leave behind this world that time has woven. Are you not struggling against this existence and watching for lessons in those who have departed? Are you not suffering under the clouds of illusions, the graying of feelings, and the waves of weakness? Do your bones beneath your skin not show you your bending after old age?
I have poured the honey of eloquence into your soul before the time of loss, before the journey, before the severing of the path of return, before the eclipse and the sinking of the moon, before the extinguishing of the radiance of all beings, and before the trembling of the earth and the stones. For life is a brief death, and death is the life of legacy.
