Houthis escalate by targeting civilians in Jazan

Riyadh (Agencies): Saudi authorities announced that two people were injured after a projectile, which they said was fired by the Houthi group in Yemen, struck Al-Tawal province in the Jazan region, according to a statement by the official spokesperson for the Saudi Civil Defense, as reported by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The spokesperson noted that two people were injured and that material damage occurred to a mosque and several buildings and vehicles as a result of the projectile, emphasizing that “targeting civilian objects is a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, and the procedures established for such cases have been implemented.” Earlier on Saturday, the Saudi Civil Defense issued two warnings to residents of Abha city and Khamis Mushait province regarding a “potential threat,” urging them to follow instructions issued by the competent authorities, before later announcing that the threat had passed.
