Ministry of Education Investigates 'Military Uniform Post'

The Ministry of Education confirmed that what was issued by one of the school administrations regarding instructions concerning military attire for parents when visiting schools constitutes an individual action that does not represent the Ministry, its orientations, or its decisions. It pointed out that the incident is under administrative investigation to ascertain the circumstances and take the necessary measures in accordance with prevailing systems and regulations.

In a statement, the Ministry clarified that the Comprehensive Regulatory Bylaws for Education is the recognized reference governing work in school administrations, emphasizing the necessity for all schools to adhere to its provisions, along with official decisions and circulars issued by the Ministry, and to refrain from unilaterally introducing any controls or instructions without consulting the competent authorities.

It was noted that, under the directives of Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaee, the Ministry has initiated the necessary administrative and legal measures regarding the incident. The concerned school administration was directed to immediately remove the posted notice, and the case was referred to an administrative investigation to determine the circumstances and hold those responsible accountable within the frameworks of the prevailing systems and regulations.

In this context, the Ministry of Education expressed its pride and appreciation for members of the military and security agencies, commending their national role and the sincere efforts they contribute to serving Kuwait and safeguarding its security and stability. It stressed that all school administrations must adhere to the Comprehensive Regulatory Bylaws for Education and the approved official decisions and circulars, comply with the frameworks and controls governing school work, and avoid making independent judgments or issuing any instructions or controls unilaterally without referring to the competent authorities within the Ministry.

The Ministry affirmed that compliance with official instructions and controls forms the basis for organizing work within educational institutions, ensuring clarity and uniformity of procedures across all schools. It concluded with the prayer: “May God protect Kuwait, its Amir, its Crown Prince, and its people from all harm.”
