Netanyahu: We will end the mission in Iran and overthrow the regime

Occupied Jerusalem – Agencies: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel still needs to complete the mission it began in Iran. Adding, during a press conference in occupied Jerusalem where he presented the Likud party’s list for the upcoming elections, that the task now is to permanently eliminate what he described as the Iranian threat and overthrow the regime in Tehran. He continued, saying that Israel has exhausted Iran, removed what he called its threat, and crushed its axis in the region, including Hezbollah and Hamas, thereby changing the face of the Middle East. Netanyahu spoke of the early elections scheduled for next October as a pivotal vote concerning Israel’s future. He urged Israelis to vote for Likud and its allied parties, presenting two options: either “a strong, broad national government under my leadership, or a weak, narrow left-wing government comprising Gadi Eisenkot, Avigdor Lieberman, Yair Golan, and Arab parties.” The Israeli prime minister highlighted what he described as the major achievements of his government so far, foremost among them targeting what he called Iran’s nuclear weapons system aimed at Israel, the incursions into Gaza and Lebanon, and strikes against the capabilities of the Syrian army. According to opinion polls, there will be fierce competition in the early Israeli elections between the ruling right-wing coalition led by Netanyahu and the opposition camp.
