Al-Mushaan met with the Iraqi Foreign Minister and the UNRWA Commissioner

Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Hamad Al-Mushaan received Asim R. Mahajan, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India, on the occasion of his official visit to Kuwait. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields, as well as exchanging views on the latest developments in regional and international affairs.

Al-Mushaan also met with Christian Saunders, Acting Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), on the sidelines of the 166th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held at the headquarters of the Arab League Secretariat in Cairo. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted in a statement that the meeting discussed ways to support the Agency’s efforts in providing humanitarian services to Palestinian refugees and the challenges facing its operations.

Furthermore, Al-Mushaan held talks with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fawzi Hussein on bilateral relations and regional developments. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release that this took place during a meeting between the two sides on the sidelines of the 166th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held at the Arab League Secretariat headquarters in Cairo. The Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, and discussed a number of files of mutual interest, alongside exchanging views on recent regional developments.

Al-Mushaan also received a phone call from Steven Doughty, Minister of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom. The Foreign Ministry stated in a press release that the call discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them, as well as exchanging views on recent regional and international developments and issues of common concern.
