A Clear Vision and Distinctive Leadership

In truth, without the boundless support and sound guidance of Uncle Jawad Ahmad Al-Boukhamseen, we would not have been celebrating today the twentieth anniversary of the first issue of Al-Nahar newspaper. He never stinted in offering us advice or direction, always urging us to adhere to the lofty directives of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, to remain neutral in news reporting, to place Kuwait’s interests above all else, and to convey information with full transparency and credibility, while emphasizing the strengthening of national unity.

I must also commend my dear brother, Editor-in-Chief Emad Al-Boukhamseen, who trusted me with the honor of serving as Editor-in-Chief of Al-Nahar. Brother Emad never withheld his support and guidance, from the newspaper’s founding period in 2007 to the present day, consistently following the instructions of his father, Uncle Jawad Al-Boukhamseen. I will never forget my dear brother Anwar Al-Boukhamseen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, who diligently monitors all content published in newspapers and on electronic platforms. He consistently directs us to prioritize certain stories while stepping back from others, always in the interest of the public good.

Nor should I fail to thank Mr. Sami Al-Nassaf, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, who contributed significantly to the newspaper’s development since he joined the Al-Nahar editorial team. My gratitude also extends to my dear brother Ibrahim Al-Khalidi, General Secretary of the Al-Nahar editorial board. I also thank all department heads and editorial section managers who have made and continue to make substantial efforts to develop and sustain the newspaper.

I am firmly convinced that our celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the first issue of Al-Nahar would not have come to fruition without the sound vision and outstanding leadership of my dear brother Emad Al-Boukhamseen and the newspaper’s remarkable editorial team.

Finally, I wish the editorial family and our newspaper, Al-Nahar, a future filled with success and excellence, and continued dedication to delivering content that elevates readers’ discernment and keeps pace with modern media developments.
