Second loss for "Youth Blue"

The Kuwait Under-20 national team suffered its second consecutive defeat in the qualifiers for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in China, falling 1-3 to Yemen yesterday at the National Complex Stadium, in the second round of Group 7 matches. Yemen took the lead through Ahmed Saleh in the 24th minute, ending the first half with a 1-0 advantage. In the second half, Musafir Al-Adwani equalized for Kuwait, scoring the team’s first goal, but Yemen responded immediately a minute later with a goal from Mohammed Shamseddin, who extended his country’s lead by netting the third goal in the 85th minute. Kuwait remained winless, while Yemen claimed their first three points in the group, ahead of the final round where Kuwait will face Cambodia and Yemen will play Japan the day after tomorrow.
