Japan plays friendly match against Brazil in Singapore
Japan will have the chance to avenge their painful defeat to Brazil at the World Cup when they take part in a four-nation tournament hosted by Singapore in November, organizers announced yesterday. Gabriel Martinelli scored in the dying moments to give Brazil a 2-1 victory and eliminate Japan from the Round of 32. Paraguay and Singapore are also participating in the “Blue Challenge Cup,” which will be held from November 13 to 17 during the FIFA-approved international window. Singapore will open the tournament at its National Stadium with a match against Paraguay on November 13, before facing Brazil the following day. The tournament will conclude on November 17 with two matches: Singapore will play five-time world champions Brazil, while Japan will face Paraguay.
