Al-Jumhouria: Comprehensive and integrated plan for the launch of the new academic year

Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), confirmed that the Authority has completed its preparations for the new academic and training year in accordance with a comprehensive plan encompassing academic, technical, and service aspects, with integrated efforts from all relevant sectors and departments to ensure a smooth and organized launch.

In a statement to PAAET following a meeting between Dr. Al-Fajam and senior Authority officials and stakeholders to review the readiness of various colleges, institutes, and facilities for welcoming students and launching the new academic and training year, Al-Fajam stated: “PAAET is working to provide all requirements that contribute to supporting students and ensuring the continuity of the educational and training process, while providing a safe and integrated educational and training environment.”

For her part, Nada Al-Asimi, Director of the Engineering and Maintenance Affairs Department, confirmed the completion of maintenance and preparation works in colleges, institutes, and departments. These works included civil, electrical, and technical tasks, as well as equipping laboratories, sports facilities, and theaters. Al-Asimi added that the works also included major maintenance of housing for scholarship students and female scholarship students, elevator maintenance, and the completion of infrastructure related to security cameras, in coordination with the Security and Safety Department.

For his part, Dr. Fenis Al-Ajmi, Director of the Security and Safety Department, confirmed the full readiness of security, safety, and fire-fighting systems across various PAAET sites, alongside the readiness of security and safety teams to handle various situations and provide necessary support. Al-Ajmi pointed out the continued coordination with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, to regulate vehicle and traffic movement within PAAET sites, thereby enhancing safety and facilitating movement with the launch of the new academic and training year.

For her part, Mai Al-Majid, Director of the General Services Department, confirmed the provision of 246 buses for transporting students, including large and small buses, as well as buses designated for persons with disabilities. She also confirmed the provision of round-the-clock transportation services for scholarship students and inter-site transportation services within PAAET.
