Al-Tabtabaee: Kuwait Possesses an Exceptional Generation
Minister of Education, Engineer Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaee, honored Kuwaiti students who won at the International Earth Science Olympiad, held in the Italian city of Turin, in recognition of their outstanding scientific achievements and for raising the name of the State of Kuwait on international platforms, in the presence of several ministry officials. The delegation of winning students included Talal Ahmed Al-Mutairi, Ghaliya Nasser Al-Anzi, Narjes Hani Sabti, and Kawthar Ammar Al-Qattan, along with the team’s supervisors: geology instructor Abdullah Al-Maqssid and geology instructor Nora Al-Wanda.
Al-Tabtabaee emphasized that the medals won by the students represent a source of pride and honor for Kuwait, reflecting their scientific capabilities and their determination to excel and compete on international stages. He noted that this achievement confirms that Kuwait possesses a generation of outstanding students capable of creating achievements and elevating the nation’s name.
He stated that the Ministry views these results as a motivation to continue investing in gifted and high-achieving students, by identifying their talents early and honing their abilities through specialized training programs and scientific participation, thereby contributing to the preparation of a generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for the future.
He praised the efforts of the team’s supervisors, affirming that the achievement was the fruit of collaboration and integration among students, their families, supervisors, and educational institutions, stressing the importance of sustaining this cooperation to support student excellence.
Al-Tabtabaee confirmed that the Ministry of Education will continue to provide participation opportunities for students with talents and scientific abilities in international competitions and forums, thereby enhancing Kuwait’s scientific presence and consolidating a culture of innovation and excellence.
He pointed out that the Gifted Students Office constitutes a fundamental pillar in the system for nurturing gifted and outstanding students, through identifying their talents, monitoring their progress, and providing the necessary support and care, as well as preparing them for local and international scientific competitions, ensuring sustained investment in their capabilities and the achievement of further accomplishments.
