An official Jordanian source reported that 10 Jordanians were killed in the incident. The statement said the accident occurred on a road connecting the cities of Dahab and Nuweiba. It noted that 20 ambulances were dispatched to the site to transport the injured for necessary medical care, without providing details on the cause of the crash. Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar issued directives “to provide the highest levels of medical care to the injured, supply all necessary equipment and medications, and coordinate with relevant authorities in South Sinai Governorate,” according to the statement.
